Depression is rarely just sadness. More often it shows up as a heavy fog, a flatness, a hard-to-explain exhaustion, a sense that the things that mattered before just don't reach you the way they used to.
Gentle, structured care to help you reconnect with vitality and hope.
Depression is rarely just sadness. More often it shows up as a heavy fog, a flatness, a hard-to-explain exhaustion, a sense that the things that mattered before just don't reach you the way they used to. Getting through the day can take everything you have, and the people around you may not realize how much effort it takes just to seem okay.
In our work together, you don't have to perform or push through. We move at a pace your nervous system can actually tolerate, and we make room for whatever is there – be it grief, numbness, anger, shame, relief, and beyond – without rushing or forcing ourselves to fix it.
Therapy with me is gentle and structured, blending evidence-based approaches with a warm, relational style. We will work to understand your depression as a story, not a defect, and from there, find small, sustainable shifts that build on each other. Together we will make sense of what your depression has been protecting you from, and what it has been costing you; rebuild gentle daily rhythms like sleep, movement, and connection, in an effort to regain your own trust and without demanding more than you can give; address the inner critic, the possible perfectionism, and the old beliefs that keep you stuck in cycles of self-blame; and reconnect you with meaning, pleasure, and the parts of life that once felt like yours.
You won't be handed a checklist or asked to "think positive." This work is about being met where you actually are and slowly, patiently, finding your way back to the version of yourself you can consider a friend. Most clients describe feeling lighter, more present, and more willing to be in their own life again over time. You don't have to keep carrying this alone. If any of this resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
